Technology Is The Key In Moving Forward Towards The Change: Harshvendra Soin

Speaking on a virtual discussion at BW People Presents BW Dialogue on People Power in Association with BW Businessworld, Harshvendra Soin, Global Chief People Officer and Head of Marketing, Tech Mahindra thinks that in next two quarters there will be more hiring and upskilling as it is the need for the New Normal.


“Technology will be an enabler, movements of truth will still be human, that won’t change”, said Harshvendra Soin, Global Chief People Officer and Head of Marketing, Tech Mahindra at BW Dialogue episode 3. Adding to the same, he further said: “From an employee engagement scenario, we are going to look at human experiences, they are an extension from employ to employ family".

Millennials are the biggest challenge when it comes to the multi-gen working environment. However, he said: “We see that millennials are looking at a higher upside with a higher outcome, and it is going to be one big change we will see post COVID”.

Technology has evolved during the pandemic situation. It has changed the ways of work for every professional and similarly for HR; technological advancements have been a big boon for HR to successfully keep going on even during an unconventional disruption. The experts discussed the power of HR in changing times, technology as the key in moving forward and change. Harshvendra threw light on the fact that technology will help productivity and efficiency to grow up.

Speaking about the recruitments, he said, “In next 2 quarters, we will see much more hiring and internal upskilling”, “We should get some kind of situation where we can hire decent numbers but I guess it will still be lower than what it has been in recent numbers”.

“You get in life what you have the courage to ask for”, Soin concluded on an optimistic note.
