TCS Reports Decline In Headcount For The First Time In Two Years

TCS reported a dip of 6,333 employees during the September quarter of FY24, taking its total headcount to 608,985. This is the first time TCS has reported a decline in headcount in over two years.

The decline in TCS's headcount in this current in current macroeconomic environment is not surprising considering the slowdown the global IT industry is going through.

TCS is working to improve its employee retention efforts, affirmed Lakkad.
