Sun Life Appoints Tarun Sareen as Managing Director, Asia Service Centers

Tarun joins Sunlife ASC from Deutsche Bank where he was the Managing Director, Head of Corporate Banking and Investment Banking Technology, India.

Tarun joins Sunlife ASC from Deutsche Bank where he was the Managing Director, Head of Corporate Banking and Investment Banking Technology, India. He takes up the new role effective 12th Oct, 2020.  Through his extensive professional journey, Tarun has held various business management and technology leadership roles with EMC Corporation, Barclays Technology Center, Microsoft R&D Ltd and General Electric Aircraft Engines.

Sun Life Asia Service Centers (India and Philippines), ASC, is the Global In-house Centre of Sun Life Financial, a Canadian financial services company. Started in 2006, Sun Life ASC provides Business Operations, Technology, and Knowledge Services support to Sun Life's global businesses.

Shiney Prasad, President, Digital Enterprise Asia, Sun Life, said, “ Tarun has deep knowledge and experience in driving large scale delivery organizations and has a proven track record in setting up, building and running world-class Global In-house Centers (GICs). His experience will be extremely valuable in driving business results through the implementation of information technology solutions and driving transformations for business impact.”

Tarun received his M.S. in Electrical Engineering and Computer Engineering from Marquette University, USA.
