Sridhar Srinivasan Joins Indian Overseas Bank As Chairman

He is an established board director with executive leadership accomplishments across Asia, Africa and Europe


Sridhar Srinivasan has been appointed as the chairman of Indian Overseas Bank, effective February 2024.

He confirmed his appointment on LinkedIn stating, “I am delighted to have been appointed as Chairman of Indian Overseas Bank. I sincerely thank the government for giving me this opportunity. This is a huge honour and privilege.”

“Indian Overseas Bank is a bank with a very rich history and tradition. I am looking forward to working with their management and board to help them achieve their strategic objectives,” he added.

Srinivasan is an established board director with extensive professional experience and executive leadership accomplishments across Asia, Africa and Europe. He has served as the chairperson of board committees for companies ranging from startups to the largest corporations in India, with a focus on management strategy, business transformation, governance, shareholder interests, risk and regulatory compliance. 

Currently, he also serves as the Independent Director at Oracle Financial Services Software, Nirlon, Graphite India and FINCA Azerbaijan. 

Previously, he has held key leadership roles at Oliver Wyman, Bank of Baroda, Vivriti Capital, India Factoring and Finance Solutions, FINCA Bank Georgia, Indie Home Loans, SBFC and Citi.
