Schneider Electric To Hire Over 200 Women Students Annually From Govt. ITI In Mysuru

Schneider Electric, the digital transformation of energy management and next-generation automation solutions company, announced its plans to increase women hiring for its manufacturing facility in Mysuru, Karnataka, by providing smart infrastructure. Deepak Sharma, Zone President Greater India and MD & CEO, SEIPL met with Manjula. S, Joint Director, Mysuru Division, Industrial Training & Employment Department, and Lalitha M.R, Principal Govt I.T.I Belavadi, as well as training officers, to discuss skilling requirements.

Sharma also paid a visit to the company's electrical lab, which exposes students to new technological developments in the electrical field. Schneider Electric has provided the most recent digital and smart energy meters, MCBs, switches, and modern house wiring models to familiarise the trainees with the most recent technological developments in the electrical field.

Schneider Electric trains 3375 youth in Karnataka every year through 45 skill development centres, including 16 Women ITIs. In addition, the company operates a Centre of Excellence (COE) in Bengaluru, which was established in collaboration with the Karnataka Skill Ministry and the Ministry of Education in France. Trainers from ITIs and Polytechnic Institutes in Karnataka and other states are trained in this COE.

This will make them economically stronger in the society and in future, we will set up similar electrical lab facilities in other Government I.T.I's across the Mysuru district."
