According to reports, assailants led by a recently terminated ex-employee allegedly stole Rs 21 lakh from the Flipkart office in Sonipat, Haryana, from the branding toy guns. Sumit, the disgruntled, sacked employee and mastermind of the plan, reportedly stormed the Flipkart Gohana office with accomplices Anil Tiger and Sandeep on 16 October.

Sumit strategically chose the holiday season to capitalise on the increased cash flow during Diwali. To avoid authorities, he used insider information and acted at precise times.

The accused eluded authorities for a month before two of them were apprehended. The accused was found with Rs 6.3 lakh, a car, a toy pistol, and an axe.

"During the Diwali season, Sumit was well aware of the increased cash flow in the office." "He used this knowledge to plan the timing of the robbery," Bharti Dabas, the Deputy Commissioner of Police in Gohana, told India Today, adding that Sumit's recent dismissal was the catalyst for the alleged robbery.

Sandeep is still on the run, and police are looking for him.
