Lenskart Names Shweta Shukla As Chief People Officer

Shukla will report directly to Peyush Bansal, the founder & CEO of Lenskart, who assumed the role temporarily following the departure of the former CHRO, Suruchi Maitra, in 2021

Shweta Shukla has been named Chief People Officer of Lenskart, an Indian eyewear retail chain, effective immediately. 

Shukla will be based in Singapore and will take over the Global HR function, with a primary focus on driving global growth, organisational effectiveness and fostering culture and leadership.

She will report directly to Peyush Bansal, the Founder and CEO of Lenskart, who assumed the role temporarily following the departure of the former CHRO, Suruchi Maitra, in 2021. Maitra had been in the position for about 2.5 years before starting her own business.

Shukla is also the founder of The CultureGram, a platform that promotes open dialogue and collaboration in topics such as culture, leadership, inclusion, identity and embracing differences.

She has held key leadership positions in the past, including Vice President and Head of Talent and Human Resources - Asia Pacific at Netflix, Head of Human Resources - Southeast Asia and India at Facebook, and Assistant Vice President of HR at Genpact. She has also held key positions at Aon Hewitt, Hewitt Associates and Genpact.
