Hindustan Unilever Limited (HUL) has announced major leadership changes. The company has appointed Shiva Krishnamurthy as the Executive Director for Foods & Refreshment division and Srinandan Sundaram as the Executive director for Homecare business.

Sundaram will replace Deepak Subramanian, who will be moving on to a new role overseas. All changes will be effective April 2024.

Krishnamurthy joined HUL in 2000 and is currently serving as the Vice President of Foods and Beverages in South Asia. He has led several projects for the group, including Lifebuoy and Lux in Skin Cleansing in India, Radiant innovation for homecare in Southeast Asia and South Asia’s tea business since 2015.

Sundaram currently serves as the Executive Director for Foods & Refreshment division at HUL. During his tenure, he has effectively directed the business, with tea maintaining its dominance in the category and the health foods drink sector growing competitively after completely integrating into HUL. Sundaram has also built the groundwork for significant expansion in the food industry, both in established and emerging sectors. Furthermore, he has expedited HUL's goal for regenerative agriculture and nutritional value in products.

Kartik Chandrasekhar was previously announced to join the HUL executive committee as Executive Director, Personal Care, effective April. However, he has opted to quit Unilever, and HUL will replace the vacancy in due course.

Madhusudhan Rao, the company's Executive Director of Beauty and Personal Care, will continue to oversee operations temporarily.
