Companies providing great employee experience to their staff, more likely to get 3x return on assets and 3x return on sales,” said Mr Vicky Jain, Co-Founder and CEO of uKnowva HRMS

Employees face a lot of difficulties and challenges when they are unclear about their job roles, responsibilities, pay and perks they are entitled to. That’s why the need to be self-reliant in the workplace arises. On these lines, uKnowva recently released a whitepaper titled ‘Do uKnowva and Make Your Employees More Self-Reliant’ which emphasises the importance of HRMS to make employees more self-reliant. The whitepaper revealed that HRMS helps employees access their employment records, such as payslips, timesheets, and benefits information, as well as apply for time off and manage their personal information. The employee self-service functionality goes beyond simply giving employees some tasks to handle on their own. Its effects result in a better employee experience, which raises employee retention and decreases turnover rates.

As per a study by Quixy, employers lose 24 billion hours a year due to ineffective meetings. Furthermore, the study reveals that employees who multitask are 50% more prone to make mistakes. When the errors of manual tasks increase, employees’ credibility is also hampered. Also, because they multitask and don't prioritise their duties, at least 40% of employees wind up being less productive overall.

“Companies are equipping employees with the right tools through HRMS so that they can do their work independently without requiring assistance from a third party. By doing this, they’re providing a sense of importance to employees, making them believe that the company is actually concerned about their well-being and supporting them while they complete their work. They would then work to the best of their abilities and become personally committed to the success of the company. This applies to the entire organisation, not just the HR department. As a matter of fact, companies that provide great employee experience to their staff are more likely to get 3x return on assets and 3x return on sales,” said Mr Vicky Jain, Co-Founder and CEO of uKnowva HRMS.

When employees feel independent and empowered, HRs can then channel their free time on more strategic tasks like developing recruitment strategies, updating organisational compliance and succession planning and so on.

“Other than setting up and configuring their own profile, employees can communicate with purpose, get all the information at one place and also start a conversation by creating polls, surveys and forums through an HRMS. The advantage of having an HRMS is that communication becomes easier between employees. An employee can have a quick one-on-one conversation with a manager about a task or ask a quick follow-up question. With faster and easier conversations between employees, time spent on meetings can also reduce. Another major feature of an HRMS is self-evaluation which assists employees to be aware of their weaknesses and strengths and how to go about it when they rate themselves. Employees can also ask their colleagues to rate them. That way, the system helps everyone to rate and review

one another in the team. This could boost each employee’s morale and help them become receptive to constructive feedback. Employers are able to compile reports, gather information on what's working and what isn't and significantly contribute to the company's growth strategy thanks to employee self-service portals,” Vicky added.
