Goodera Appoints Virginia Tenpenny As President- North America & Chief Impact Officer

Tenpenny, formerly chief global social impact officer for Starbucks Coffee Company brings her experience in leading social impact programmes to Goodera


Goodera, a company in employee volunteering, has announced the appointment of Virginia Tenpenny as President, North America and Chief Impact Officer. 

To help lead and drive its next phase of growth, Tenpenny, formerly Chief Global Social Impact Officer for Starbucks Coffee Company, joins Goodera and brings her extensive experience in leading social impact programs to the Goodera platform. She is excited to transform corporate volunteering through technology and innovation, creating impact and value for participants, companies, nonprofits, and the communities they serve.

In addition to this transformative hire, Goodera is introducing the Goodera Impact Innovator Fund, a $500,000 incubator fund, that will expand financial access and technical support to enable social innovators and nonprofits to pilot and scale solutions that address local and global challenges. The programme offers financial backing, professional development opportunities, mentorship, and access to a community of social impact innovators to create lasting solutions. Goodera will provide technical support and access to sandbox environments, 3D printers and enterprise-grade design tools to test and scale these solutions significantly.

Another significant development is the expansion of the Goodera Impact Ambassador Network. The global community of Goodera hosts, who bring to life the volunteer experiences in over 1000 cities around the world, will expand into a broader network of social innovators that includes nonprofit professionals, emerging social impact champions, and seasoned impact practitioners to inform and architect programmes that create meaningful impact for Goodera corporate partners and nonprofits.
