Future Of Work With Tech-Enabled L&D

The whole AI concept has brought together a bouquet of training for people, along with helping organisations understand what employees want, said Aarti Srivastava, CHRO-India, Capgemini Technology Services India, while addressing a panel discussion at the BW People HR Excellence Summit & Awards 2023.

"It has enabled a thought process that is there with the younger generation on what they want. Moreover, it has enabled organisations on how they can provide the want of an employee," she added.

Delineating the future of work, Shaleen Manik, CHRO, Transsion India (Itel, Tecno & Infinix Mobiles), conveyed that the future of work will definitely embrace the gig economy. "The sooner the better, if we embrace it now," he added.

Explaining the vitality of gig workers, he conveyed, "Gig work makes sense as we are getting our job done efficiently without investing administratively. Management leaders as well as CEOs will embrace this because it will eventually support them."

Vishal Chopra, CEO & Founder, Umwelt.Ai, underlined the valuable contribution of AI-enabled technology that it can help HR managers listen to every person in the organisation.

He also highlighted the quintessential human essence of people opting to upskill themselves technologically. He reflected, "Post-pandemic, employees themselves have understood their own learning and development plans much more effectively. With this, there is also an impetus for work-life balance. Though employees upgrade themselves through technical assistance, there is also a behavioural aspect behind it as they are driven by it.

Decoding different behavioural and skill parameters of an employee, Mayur Sunit Sarswat, President-Sales, Xoxoday, mentioned, "We live in a world with both wicked learning environments as well as kind learning environments. Both soft skills and hard skills have pros and cons. Moreover, we should also understand that job descriptions and skills can define the outcome, but they do not guarantee the productivity that an organisation looks for.”
