Board of Federal Bank elevates Venkatraman Venkateswaran as CFO

Currently, he is serving as the Group President of the bank. He will be serving as the Chief Financial Officer and Key Managerial Personnel of the Bank with effect from today,18th May 2021. He will report directly to the Managing Director & CEO of the Bank

In an exchange filing, it was announced that the Board of Directors of the Bank at its meeting held on 17th May, approved the appointment of Mr Venkatraman Venkateswaran, who is currently working as Group President, as Chief Financial Officer and Key Managerial Personnel of the Bank with effect from today, Tuesday, May 18, 2021. 

The filing also reported that the previous CFO Ashutosh Khajuria, who is also the Executive Director, will now be responsible for Treasury, Credit & Collections, Strategic initiatives and establish the ESG journey of the bank. 

Venkatraman has over three decades of professional expertise in Banking and Compliance. He is a qualified Chartered Accountant with graduate degrees in Law and Economics. He has vast experience working with HSBC and SCB in Global Finance Operations, Financial Compliance, Operations, Technology and support functions in various leadership roles. Previously, he worked with corporates like Indian Rayon Industries (Aditya Birla Group), Kewalram Chanrai Group (Singapore) in senior roles responsible for financial management. He was also the former CFO of Invensys India Pvt Ltd.
