Apurva Dalal joins Twitter India as director of engineering

With a plan to expand its engineering team across the country, Twitter India appoints Apurva Dala as their Director of Engineering


Bringing with him more than twenty years of experience, Apurva Dalal will be responsible for strengthening Twitter's engineering capabilities and performance in the local and global market. India is one of the fastest-growing markets for the social media platform and it hopes to cater to the needs of the market by hiring more in leadership positions for research, design and product development.

Before being a part of Twitter India, Apurva was associated with Uber Bengaluru as the engineering site lead. He was also responsible for starting and building the Google India development centre in Hyderabad and has worked in various big digital firms like eBay, UrbanLadder, Komli Media and WebMD.

In the past couple of years, the Engineering Team of Twitter India has expanded rapidly. The team will continue to build more daily utilities for the new and existing customers. They will look after product development, research and design, data science and machine learning.

Outside the USA, such teams to oversee the engineering and technical aspect of twitter are present in London, Toronto, Singapore and Bengaluru.
