Apple Tracking Employee Attendance To Enforce Return-To-Office Mandate

While media reports claim Apple's stringent move is in line with the company's cost-cutting measures, major companies around the world have anyway started welcoming their employees back to offices gradually since the latter part of 2022.

Apple Inc is reportedly tracking employee attendance using badge records. The strict move is aimed at ensuring that its employees are present in the office for a minimum of 3 days a week according to Platformer's Zoë Schiffer. Those employees who do not comply with the mandate may face disciplinary actions.

"At Apple, some orgs are saying failure to comply could result in termination, but that doesn't appear to be a company-wide policy", Schiffer tweeted.
