Akasa Air Moves Bombay HC Seeking Damages Of 21 Crore Each From Pilots

The legal move has been made against 5 pilots for breaching the requirement of serving a 6 month notice period.

Akasa Air has approached the Bombay High Court seeking 21 Crore per pilot as damages for putting up papers without fulfilling the terms and conditions of the notice period. 

Media reports state that a legal move has been made against 5 pilots for breaching the requirement of serving a 6 month notice period. 

The pilots in response have raised a question on the jurisdiction of the Bombay High Court to hear the dispute stating that the cause of action does not arise in Mumbai in the present case. 

The next hearing in the case is expected to be on September 25.
