In a cost cutting measure , PhysicsWallah has laid off around 120 employees. While the exact number of employees and nature of roles affected are not known, media reports quoted Satish Khengre, CHRO, PW as saying that the step was taken after routine performance review.

The edtech company has not only denied reports of a mass firing but also expressed its commitment to growing its employee base in the coming months.

“Our primary focus remains on fostering a dynamic, high-performing team. We plan to hire an additional 1000 employees in the next six months, reinforcing our commitment to growth. We deeply value the dedication of our existing employees and recognize their integral role in shaping the future of education technology,” Khengre was reportedly quoted as saying.
