AI Cerence Plans To Double Its India Headcount In 2023

Cerence’s India R&D and operations center play a very important role in the company’s
global engagements with auto OEMs and other mobility solution providers. The company is looking forward to increasing the share of R&D being done from India and penetrating the India market in collaboration with global and local OEMs to bring enhanced safety, comfort, and productivity to drivers.


“We have grown drastically from the opening of our Pune office in 2019. Despite the
challenges of the pandemic, we are currently close to 400 full time team members in India,”said Sachin Sahney, Chief Human Resources Officer, Cerence. “Expansion of our Indiacenter, including the appointment of our new site leader Manish Bhasin, is a key pillar of Cerence’s long-term growth plan, and we have extensive plans to attract more talent in 2023 to enable us to leverage the AI, cloud, and digital tech talent in India to fuel our innovation goals”, he added.
