Wipro Asks Employees To Work From Office At Least Three Days

After moonlighting issue, Wipro embraced hybrid work culture

Following the same path as TCS, Wipro now asks its employees to work from the office at least three days a week, the company also made aware the employees of the hybrid mode work culture the company is going to follow in future. The Company’s employees have received an official mail mentioning that the campus will remain open for four days a week, i.e Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday. 


It encourages employees to work from the office for at least three days out of four. The new model will be implemented on 10 October 2022, and the company is encouraging the employees to work from home for at least three days. Wipro decided to keep Wednesday as an off day to give flexibility to the employee. 


Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) also asked its 85 per cent of employees to work from an office at least three days a week. Recently IT major Wipro gathered headlines for firing employees due to moonlighting issues. In the whole industry, moonlighting has been a debated subject, and experts suggest that moonlighting has increased. The Chairman of Wipro, Rashid Premji as an act of cheating and fired 300 employees for practising moonlighting.
