If not in the current profession, you would be?

I would have been a full-time legal attorney. The joy of framing an argument or defending a stated position has always attracted me.

One tune you always hum?

“Zindagi kaisi hai paheli hai” from the movie Anand.

One book to read when you want to motivate yourself?

“The Audacity of Hope” by Barack Obama. What can be more inspiring than a boy of color raised by a single white mother who goes on to become one of the most powerful men in the world?

One dialogue of a movie that motivates you or you like the most?

“Life is like a box of chocolates; you never know what you gonna get” Forrest Gump – my all-time favorite movie.

The place you never been to and always want to go?

The South American continent.

An animal that signifies you & why?

Any bird, the possibility of flight fascinates me.

A Movie Character you most resemble or resonate with?

Tom Cruise as Jerry Maguire from my young days, great mix of hope, romanticism, and grit.

If your life was to be turned into a movie who would you like to play your part?

Big fan of Kamal Haasan and Mohanlal from the south film industry…and Tom Hanks from Hollywood.

Luck or Hard Work, what do you think weighs more in defining a successful person?

Hard work, always.

One best decision you ever made?

To move back to India after spending 12 odd years in US.

A strategy that you always use to take your decisions in Personal or Professional life?

Whose advice do you seek when in a dilemma?

My wife, Revathi….

What has been your biggest achievement?

Clearing the IIT JEE entrance exam with no help or coaching, great validation of hard work and commitment. It set the tone for my future life, hard work can always get you what you want.

One thing that you want to change in yourself?

I enjoy music…wish I could play an instrument really well. I have always been focused and rational in my approach to life, I wish I could give in to the flow of things and be spontaneous.

A line said by your close one that you never forget?

The equivalent of ‘this too shall pass’ in Tamil by my mother.
