Unispace, the world’s largest workplace strategy, design and delivery company, today said it has established a multi-city presence in India with the opening of its second studio in Bengaluru. The company had opened its first office and studio in Mumbai earlier this year. The new studio at Bengaluru will cater to Unispace’s clients in Bengaluru and nearby cities.

Unispace said it is targeting both domestic and international companies in BFSI, technology, life sciences and pharmaceuticals industries for its workplace design and build services. The company added that it has won two projects from India and is currently delivering them in Mumbai and Bangalore.

Toby Rakison, Managing Director - Asia at Unispace said, “The opening of Unispace’s second studio in India further establishes our presence and commitment to the Indian market. For our local customers as well as our global clients looking to expand into Mumbai or Bengaluru, we are excited to finally bring the global Unispace experience closer to them. Our local studios give us an opportunity to serve our India-based clients better by drawing upon India’s rich cultural and architectural heritage to imagine and create more human-centered workspaces.”

Unispace also said that while Mumbai and Bengaluru will remain the priority locations for the company in the near term, it plans to step up its investments and expand to other Indian cities over the next 12-18 months. “We intend to carry our high growth momentum into India and quickly establish Unispace as the most sought-after workplace design and build company in India,” Rakison said. “In line with this goal, we are aggressively building our India team and are looking to hire a number of workplace strategist, designers, and construction professionals across both locations.” Unispace has recently hired a number of key positions in both Mumbai and Bengaluru.

Abi Roni Mattom, Country Director - India, Unispace said, “Companies in India are actively seeking to reimagine the future of office after the pandemic. We are excited to partner and support them in designing and delivering their future workplace that can perfectly meet their needs for years to come.”

Headquartered in New York, Unispace has 48 studios and offices in 26 countries around the world. The company employs more than 600 people in strategy, design, project management, and construction in its locations around the world.
