Titan’s new CHRO Swadesh Behera takes over from R. Rajnarayan

Alongside, Titan’s CFO S Subramaniam will also retire from the company effective June 30.

HR industry veteran is all sought to get retired as Titan group’s CHRO and Swadesh Behera, who has been working with Boston Scientific since 2010, will take charge of his place with effect from July 2021, R. Rajnarayan, is set to superannuate on June 30, 2021.

Raj Narayan is known to have his association with Titan for over 8 years now. Previously, he has worked with brands like HCL, TNT, SHV Gas, and Metro Cash & Carry. Alongside, Titan’s CFO S Subramaniam will also retire from the company effective June 30. Former L&T Infotech CFO Ashok Kumar Sonthalia will succeed Subramaniam effective July.

Commenting on the development, C K Venkataraman, MD of Titan, said, “Over the last decade, Subbu has been a solid member of the top team at Titan. As CFO, he has enabled the extraction of greater value from the businesses, managed the balance sheet exceptionally well, dealt with multiple regulatory shocks with aplomb, established very strong internal control processes through the introduction of the operations control group, made investor relations a benchmark practice and created a truly A-team in the finance department.”

A postgraduate in human resources from the Tata Institute of Social Sciences(TISS), Behera began his career with Coca Cola as general manager – HR, India, in December 1998. After six years, he moved to Ranbaxy Laboratories as director – HR, India region, in 2005. A two-year stint later, he moved to MSD Pharmaceuticals (MERCK & Co.), as director – human resources, based out of Gurgaon.

Having completed his expertise in HR strategy from Cornell University Executive Education, Behera possesses diverse sectoral experience in MNCs and Indian organisations from the pharmaceuticals, FMCG and manufacturing sectors.
