The Westin Mumbai Garden City Appoints Sonali Merchant Chavan As Dir. HR
Prior to joining The Westin Mumbai, Chavan held the position of Director-Human Resources at The Westin Pune.
The Westin Mumbai Garden City has appointed Sonali Merchant Chavan as the Director of Human Resources. She will be responsible for employee progression, workforce management, and developing innovative HR strategies for the associates.
Prior to joining The Westin Mumbai, Chavan held the position of Director-Human Resources at The Westin Pune.
With over 14 years of well-rounded experience in human resource management, she has worked with major hospitality brands like the Taj and Accor group of hotels.
Chavan has also been a part of multiple pre-opening hotels, spearheading the human resource department and brings with her a fresh and rich culture adopted at every stint.
A post graduate diploma holder in the field of hospitality from the Swiss Hotel Management School. Chavan is known for her proactive approach and strong work ethic.
In 2017 during her tenure with the Accor hotels she was recognized for her creative efforts and awarded the “Talent & Culture Person of the Year” in India.
An innovative thinker with strong interpersonal and mentoring skills, Chavan at her new role looks forward to effectively balancing the needs of her colleagues with the mission of the organization.
