Synchrony, a leading financial services company, has inaugurated its first-ever co-working space in The Executive Center – Helios Business Park, Bengaluru to further enhance its support and engagement with employees. Widening its candidate pool through its recently announced work from home initiative under New Way of Working in India, this co-working space will serve as an extension for employees in the Southern Regional Engagement Hub to come together, collaborate, and interact beyond work. There are five Regional Engagement Hubs across India, offering Synchrony employees opportunities to engage and connect in a platform for in-person engagement and connection opportunities.

As companies vie for talent, especially in niche areas like analytics, technology, finance and others, employee retention is a priority for many. In a post-pandemic world, where keeping employees engaged and fostering a strong culture is critical to retaining skilled professionals, Synchrony has anchored in flexibility and choice, along with expanded and innovative benefits. With business decisions rooted in the Synchrony value of Caring that prioritize the wellbeing of employees, the company has always put its people first.

This move reflects the company’s firm commitment towards supporting its people and embracing an agile, industry-leading workplace, fostering an engaging working environment for all.

“Navigating through tough times like the pandemic, Synchrony has demonstrated that by working together, we can deliver excellent results wherever we are. The inauguration of our new co-working space is a key milestone in supporting the company’s goal to achieve business excellence, while keeping employee well-being at its heart,” says Andy Ponneri, SVP, Business Leader India, Synchrony.

Speaking on this decision, Angie Allen, SVP, Human Resources - Asia says, “Our New Way of Working in India focuses on flexibility and choice by allowing all Employees the opportunity to work from home. This co-working space serves as an extension of our Southern Regional Engagement Hub, providing employees in the area a meaningful space to collaborate, connect, and engage.”

This Bengaluru co-working space is open to all Synchrony employees in India starting August 19, 2022. The Synchrony registered office in Hyderabad remains open to fully vaccinated employees and will continue to operate as the company’s main office in the country.
