Prachur Shah Appointed as Deputy CEO of Cairn Oil and Gas

Prachur is an alumnus of IIT Bombay and has 20 years of experience in oil and gas business.

Cairn oil and gas, unit of Vedanta limited on Tuesday appointed Prachur Shah as a Deputy Chief Executive Office. He has previously worked as the director-New Ventures and led the company's expansion effort under the Open Acreage Licensing Policy (OALP) rounds.

Prachur has two decades of research experience in the energy sector and joins Cairn oil and gas in 2018 from Schlumberger where he had the post of Managing Director-India and Bangladesh.

He will be supported by the Managing committee of Carin oil and Gas companies which will include Sai Subramanian - Project Director, Alistair Bent - Head R&R and Biswanath Ghosh - Head - OALP, and will report to the Group CEO, Vedanta.

He has also worked in several countries of South Asia, Middle East and Latin America and has a deep understanding of the oil and Gas business.
