NoBroker.com, India’s first proptech unicorn, has been witnessing tremendous growth across verticals over the past 24 months. To sustain this growth and to further expand the scope of services, it is looking to hire experienced professionals who can innovate best in class solutions that the company is known for.

The proptech unicorn has four business lines that are four companies within themselves. During the lockdown, when many businesses scaled down operations, it grew exponentially on the back of its differentiated offerings. By hiring experienced engineers, it aims to consolidate the strong market position that it has built over the last couple of years.

Having distinguished itself for its meritocratic and employee-first work culture, the company has been rewarding its employees with 6-monthly appraisals, top-notch salaries and ESOPs to appreciate employee contribution to organizational growth. It also follows a no-cabin culture to promote accessibility, engagement, and collaboration across all levels. The office space has been recently revamped and the interiors have been designed to promote out-of-box thinking.

This focus on rewarding merit and creating a growth-oriented work environment has bagged them a place amongst the Top 25 Startups in India in 2021 by LinkedIn.

The home services business that includes packers and movers, home-cleaning & painting, interiors, etc. has seen significant growth. Transactions on the platform have grown 5x. NoBroker was the first real estate company to launch payment services business NoBroker Pay to ease rent and maintenance payment for customers. Many such products were built recently to help customers during dire times brought on by the pandemic.

Speaking on recruitment, Akhil Gupta, Co-Founder and CTO– NoBroker.com, said, “The pandemic unlocked many unexpected opportunities for digital-first start-ups, and we have capitalized on them by diversifying and strengthening our offerings. However, despite our current scale, we realize that we must grow our operations if we are to fully tap into the market opportunity on offer. We have a vast application of machine learning and have built our own data lake and call intelligence solution. By increasing the number of experienced tech professionals in our team, we can continue to innovate, augment, and strengthen our offerings to deliver superlative user experiences and supercharge our growth.”

“During the peak pandemic time when everyone was working from home, the collaboration was top notch as the culture has instilled in them a sense of ownership. We have a leadership program for our folk to grow into senior roles and we go to leadership offsites for training and ideation. Some of the best innovations have come from the team below the founders which exhibits our people first culture and belief in empowering the team. Our internal initiatives, from the leadership program to recent ESOP buybacks, are designed to offer our employees the financial and growth incentives that come from being associated with us. We operate at a significant scale, but we’re still tiny relative to the opportunity. We have a staggering amount of work ahead. That means you have an unprecedented opportunity to put the global economy within everyone’s reach while doing the most important work of your career,” Akhil added.

Backed by marquee investors such as Tiger Global, General Atlantic and Elevation Capital, the company plans to devote most of its new hires towards innovating new solutions for NoBrokerHood, its society super app. The platform gained unbelievable traction during lockdown, thanks to the superior living experiences that it enabled in residential societies. Features such as best-in-class ERP technology, boom barriers, touchless entry via facial recognition, digital walkie-talkies and geo-tagging for patrolling guards, intercom calling, and QR codes significantly streamlined recurring tasks for residents and management committee members while improving security, safety, and convenience within the society premises. Given the first in class technology and hassle-free living experience, over 12,000 residential societies across India have on-boarded NoBrokerHood within a very short span of time.

NoBroker is the largest by number of transactions in all the key markets that it operates in and uses data science extensively to maintain its leadership. Technology has been at the core of everything that Nobroker does and has helped it become a one stop shop for all needs related to property.
