Trust a leader to drive away Monday blues.

Namita Thapar, who became a household name with her TV debut as an investor in the reality business show 'Shark Tank India', found an innovative way to make Monday morning memorable at Emcure Pharmaceuticals headquarters.

The Emcure Pharmaceuticals Executive Director arranged a special screening of Hollywood actor Tom Cruise's latest action-adventure film 'Top Gun: Maverick' for her 200 Emcure employees.

Dressed in red and black, the Thapar Entrepreneurs Academy founder also joined the staff for the movie during the company's Town Hall meeting.

After the two-hour-long film, the 41-year-old hosted a session on her leadership learnings from the 2022 film, which premiered at the 75th Cannes Film Festival last month.

The post-screening discussion was followed by participation from her team and other employees. "I presented my leadership learnings from the movie, followed by a discussion with the team," she added.

The entrepreneur-turned-investor said that she learnt 'finding humour' under challenging situations and life is essential from the movie. "As a leader, leave your personal feelings aside and do what's best for your company," one of the images shared by Thapar read.

The businesswoman also mentioned her top favourite quotes from the movie - "It is not the plane, it's the pilot" and "Don't think. Just do."

Batting for positive work culture, the pharma leader's post read, "Such fun, small but impactful things bring wonder and joy back in your work culture."

This isn't the first time she has held an interactive session with her staff. She often finds unique ways to keep her employees charged up.

Before this, she revealed that she had organised book clubs and discussed biographies on Marico Chairman Harsh Mariwala and former Pepsico Chairperson & CEO Indra Nooyi too.

Both the business leaders launched their books last year. While the book on business lessons by FMCG boss 'Harsh Realities' hit the shelves on July 30, Nooyi's memoir 'My Life in Full: Work, Family, and Our Future' was released on September 28.
