In line with organizations sponsoring Covid vaccination for its employees; Myntra has also announced that it will cover the 100% cost of the vaccination for all employees and up to three dependents. Employees can choose the three dependents among parents, parents-in-law, or spouse and children.

At present, the Government has opened up phase 2 of the COVID vaccination drive for citizens aged 60 and above, and those belonging to the 45-59 age group with specific comorbidities. The above-mentioned priority group has the option to get the vaccine free of cost at a government health center or by paying a fee per dose at private hospitals.

With a hope that the next drive of the vaccination will be extended to all citizens very soon, Myntra has announced the free vaccination policy for its employees and their dependents.

Employees can choose to get the cost of vaccinations reimbursed or get them free of charge at a partner hospital. Alternatively, employees can choose to participate in any future vaccination drive that will be organized on campus or facilities at major locations. Myntra is also encouraging employees to avail wellness leaves on the day of vaccination and afterward to manage any symptoms related to the post-vaccination.

Talking about the policy roll-out, Amit Mathur, Vice President, Human Resources, Myntra said, “We strongly believe in the holistic wellbeing of our employees and their families and are taking industry-leading steps towards keeping our employees safe and healthy. We were one of the first ones to launch a Doctor-on-call facility for our employees and their families when the lockdown started. Since then, we have been making strides in strengthening our policies including the recently announced unlimited wellness leaves for our employees. Myntra is a people-first organisation and our employees are our biggest strength.”

Myntra wants to provide assistance in getting vaccines in a convenient and easier manner, once the Government rolls out the policy for more age groups to the vaccines. The company will be working with the partners to extend the opportunity of accessing vaccines conveniently as per the evolving Government guidelines.

The company has urged its employees and everyone, in general, to continue to maintain social distancing and follow all the safety precautions.

The company announced work from home for it’s employees even before the nation-wide lockdown was announced. After the unlock, once the government allowed a 33% percentage of employees to work from office, Myntra has always had less than 10% of people, with dependencies on office infrastructure, working out of office. In December 2020, the company extended its work from home till May 31, 2021, at least.
