Meesho, India’s fastest-growing internet commerce company, has partnered with DTDC, Loadshare Networks and rural-focused Elastic Run to further augment its delivery infrastructure ahead of the Meesho Mega Blockbuster sale from September 23 - 27. The collaboration with these three national logistics players — apart from Meesho’s existing third-party logistics partners Delhivery, Shadowfax, Xpressbees and Ecom Express — will boost the company’s delivery capabilities in high-demand regions such as West Bengal, Maharashtra, Karnataka, the Northeast states and Uttar Pradesh.

In its mission to democratize e-commerce for everyone, Meesho continues to make significant strides in providing access and affordability to underserved users across the country. The company’s 3PL partners play an important role in creating a seamless delivery experience for all serviceable pin codes in India.

At the same time, Meesho’s annual flagship Mega Blockbuster Sale is expected to generate ~2.5 lakh indirect seasonal jobs across the 3PL ecosystem, bolstering the gig economy.

Sourabh Pandey, CXO - Fulfillment & Experience, Meesho, said, “These partnerships will supplement our efforts of fulfilling Bharat’s festive shopping aspirations while elevating customers’ online purchase experience. Driven by our user-first mindset, we are further scaling up our delivery capabilities as we anticipate a sizable number of new-to-e-commerce customers to shop on Meesho for the first time. Our asset-light model, which allows us to realize supply chain efficiencies, will help us offer lowest prices to consumers during the festive season.” \

With a continued focus on building and solving for Bharat, Meesho is working internally and with its 3PL partners to devise tech-based solutions aimed at improving the accuracy of customers' addresses for a smooth delivery experience in Tier 2+ markets. Additionally, the company’s 3PL partners have undertaken special initiatives to meet the surge in demand by recruiting last-mile delivery agents including self-employed individuals, students and retired professionals.

According to the company, Meesho is the single-largest contributor to India’s fast-growing third-party logistics industry, accounting for ~35% of all shipments delivered by national 3PL players.
