McDonald’s Human Resources Chief Heidi Capozzi said in a letter to the employees, “Reggie and I share the same goal: that in order to move forward, we must move away from the notion that the responsibility of diversity lies with one person, one department or one group.”

Miller prior to joining McDonald's served as chief diversity officer at VF corp. He has also led diversity efforts at Walmart. Miller served in the US army from 1997 to 2005.
