Manisha Lath Gupta has exited from Uber as the Head- Marketing. Gupta was appointed in March last year and used to head marketing initiatives for rides and eats business in India and South Asia.

Gupta started her career with Unilever in India, where she spent close to eight years (1997-2004) and another six years (2004-2010) across two different roles at Colgate Palmolive. Later, she successfully transitioned to the banking industry as the EVP & Chief Marketing Officer at Axis Bank.

Gupta succeeded Sanjay Gupta, who then moved to Uber US and Canada. She had joined Uber with over 20 years of experience spanning across consumer goods, banking, e-commerce, and fin-tech.

Gupta’s movement comes days after Uber recently sold its food delivery platform Uber Eats to Zomato for around $350 million (Rs 2,485 crore). Uber Eats in India will discontinue operations and direct restaurants, delivery partners, and users of the Uber Eats apps were moved to the Zomato platform.

The company which has witnessed multiple changes in the senior leadership in last two years also saw its Chief Product Officer Manik Gupta leaving the company in December.
