Labour Bureau Introduces New Committee; Set to Conduct Surveys For Job Creation

Committee will decide on schedules, sampling, design, methodology and other technicalities.

A special committee will be set up by the central government to help labour bureau conduct the national survey and take the headcount of the number of people employed by professionals such as architects, fashion designers, lawyers, chartered accountants etc.

It will study in detail the professional potential to employ people and create jobs. For example, many commerce graduates and data analysts also find jobs with chartered accountant. Moreover, not all chartered accountants set up their own practices and mostly worked in various organisations.

The country has 1.15 million doctors, 2 million lawyers and 3 lacs chartered accountant who have potential to create jobs the survey will provide a clear and a bigger picture for job in virement in India the committee will be headed by SP Mukherjee a labourer economist and eminent professor from Calcutta University.

Committee will decide on schedules, sampling, design, methodology and other technicalities. The data collected will help to evaluate the improvements in are you better so that suitable policies can be created.

The labour bureau is also doing a study on migrant workers and the manner in which they have been affected by the pandemic.
