Jury Meeting: India’s largest global diversity and inclusion

There are eight organisational categories and two individual award categories. Individual awards are more for recognising person than the organisation.

In today’s world, gender equality, social mobility, social responsibility, initiatives for disable workforce and women are factors that play an important role in the growth of the organisation.Diversity and inclusion guides to more innovation, more opportunities for all, better access to talent, and better business performance. The idea of diversity and inclusion is based on equality. It pushes people to move ahead. We can rightly conclude that, diversity + inclusion = success.

In an effort, BW Businessworld in association with Ask Insights is organising biggest ever global diversity and inclusion summit and awards. The objective is to address the ever-growing need for diversity and inclusion in the corporate world and across various other industry segments.

There are eight organisational categories and two individual award categories. Individual awards are more for recognising person than the organisation.

The first step was open nominations — projects were invited via an event microsite. Next was the first round of filtering wherein all nominations were checked for completeness and validity by the BW organising team. In the next round, winners were validated and picked by the jury that comprises of the finest minds across diverse sectors. Panel of jury includes Niru Kumar (Founder Director, Ask Insights ) , Anil Jain (Head of the Department – PK, Sethi Rehabilitation Centre S.D.M Hospital), Debi S Saini (Emeritus Professor –HRM Indian Institute of Management , Ranchi ), M.S Bhatia (Director Professor and Head of Psychiatry University College of Medical Sciences Delhi University), Gurdeep S.Hora (APAC Leader and Managing Director IRC Global Executive Search Partners), Malini Priya (Talent and Business Operations Leader , EY), Manu Dangi (Country Head , Evalueserve), Rupesh Tripathi (Head of HR ,India, IHS Markit) and Kanta Singh (State Project Head UNDP). The selection of awards become authentic with the rich eminent jury.

Parameters that were taken into account include company’s initiative, implementation, support, workplace evidence and employee evidence in that category.

After an arduous session, the jury unanimously decided on the winners of each category. The jury members commended the highly systematic and thorough process of evaluation taken by BW organising team.

The process was lengthy and rigorous including attention to detail for every category. The jury members deliberated for over three hours at the Leela Ambience Gurugram to choose the best deserving company in respective categories.
