Jindal Stainless Appoints Nitin Thakur As New L&D Head

Jindal Stainless has recently announced the new appointment, Learning and Development (L&D) expert, Nitin Thakur to head the L&D in the company. He will work closely with S K Jain, CHRO, Jindal Stainless.

Commenting on this announcement, CHRO S K Jain said, “Building a learning culture is pivotal to any organization’s growth in today’s time. We are glad to bring Nitin on board to lead this important function.”

Thakur will be responsible for leading an improved learning culture and employee growth in the company. With over 15,000 employees the globe, Jindal Stainless, a $3.2 Bn company, is India’s largest stainless steel manufacturer. He is a Harvard alumnus with over 19 years of rich experience in Leadership Development and Talent Management.

Thakur’s appointment is significant given the learning and reskilling are going to be one of the top priorities for 2020 in the people and workspace. In that respect, what impact can Thakur make in terms of leading the L&D agenda at the steel behemoth that will be keenly watched.
