In a revolutionary move, The government of Telangana and The Australian Department of Foreign Affairs came together to promote and reward the women entrepreneurs of both the nations. This partnership known as CyberTech Women Entrepreneurs program, is a platform for women entrepreneurs to provide more access and business resources for the women-led-technology businesses in Australia and India.

This move comes under the Australia-India-Bilateral Cyber and Critical Technology Partnership (AICCTP), which is supported by the Australian Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade’s Cyber team. This program will host six women-led Indian start-ups and sis women-led Australian start-ups in the field of cyber security and critical technologies. The program has an objective to support these start-ups in both the nations along with supporting them in their respective markets for three months beyond this program.

“For over a decade, start-ups, especially women entrepreneurs in tech, have expressed a lack of opportunities and financial support to optimally scale up their businesses globally.” said Deepthi Ravula, chief executive officer of WE Hub.

The entries are coming from women entrepreneurs working in the fields like drones, synthetic biology, autonomous vehicles, genomics and genetic engineering, low emission alternatives, blockchain, next-generation telecommunications, etc. The CEO of inQ Innovation Global, Irfan Malik said “This exchange program will be integral to building an ongoing bilateral start-up-scale-up exchange initiative to support and enrich the start-up ecosystem for female entrepreneurs in cyberspace and critical technology across the two nations,”. He further exceeded his gratitude to the Telangana Government and other ecosystem partners to curate such a program. He also informed that his team has been working with DFAT to device a program to offer an ecosystem to women-led tech start-ups.
