IBM Planning to Cut 10,000 Jobs in Europe

This move comes after meeting with European Labour representatives earlier this month.

IBM is planning to slash 10,000 jobs in Europe at all its slow growth service units, in a step to lower costs while preparing for its new division.

There will be a 25% reduction in staff in Europe by which a huge effect will be seen in Germany and the UK. Italy, Poland, Slovakia, and Belgium will also be impacted.

IBM also announced last month that its plans to focus on hybrid cloud computing and their unit which will help the company to recover its profits. This movie is projected to cause $ 2.3 Billion in the fourth quarter.

An 8.6 % decline is seen in IBM shares this year. The Layoff Comes after almost a decade of IBM reporting losses without a major strategy to revive growth. The presence IBM overshadows with the Emerging Tech company. Earlier this year the company cut thousands of jobs.

The current job cut will be completed by mid-2021.The reported Revenue in the third quarter by IBM was 7.6 billion dollars with a drop of 2.5 % which has been constant year after year.
