Intuitive Robotic Onboarding Program and Education (I-ROPE) aims at revolutionizing the healthcare sector, enhancing surgical outcomes

Intuitive India is an Indian extension of a USA-based global corporation manufacturing and marketing robotic products, Intuitive Surgical designed to improve the clinical outcomes of patients through minimally invasive surgery. It has joined hands with India's top medical institution AIIMS Delhi to train the next-gen surgeons with Robotic-Assisted surgery.

The I-ROPE Programme aims at familiarizing surgeons with robotic-assisted surgery, its technical and clinical aspects and its benefits. AIIMS Delhi ran this program as a pilot project in their Oncology divisions. Based on the reviews received by the surgical student, Intuitive India has decided to extend this program to other specialities and institutions across India. Now, more than two hundred surgeons are undergoing this program in various institutions across India.

Commenting on this initiative, Mandeep Singh Kumar, VP and General Manager, Intuitive India, said, "The execution of Robotic-Assisted Surgery skill and education programs is a key step towards nurturing early adopters of advanced surgical technologies. In this context, the Intuitive Robotic Onboarding Program and Education (I-ROPE) aims to support the country's surgical healthcare landscape's evolution towards producing better clinical outcomes. Given the success of the introductory program, we aim to scale it in partnership with multiple teaching institutes in the country for multiplying its reach and impact."

Currently, this programme is running in AIIMS Delhi, AIIMS Bhubaneswar, Dr Ram Manohar Lohia hospital, Delhi and Armed Forces Medical College Pune.
