Senior HR veteran P Dwarakanath becomes the Non-Executive Chairman and Nominee Director of Horlicks Limited which functions under the global healthcare brand, GlaxoSmithKline (GSK).

“We would like to inform you that 'Horlicks Limited' has nominated Mr. Patnam Dwarakanath as Nominee Director and Non-Executive Chairman of the Company with effect from July 1, 2018.” Said the company in a stock exchange filling.

The company even informed the stock exchange about the exit of Zubair Ahmed to the stock exchange who stepped down as Nominee Director and Non-Executive Chairman and with effect from June 30, 2018.

This development was welcomed by the HR industry as it is a valuable achievement.

He has mentored many young HR professionals over the years and is a senior leader. He even has nurtured the workforce with his rich experience across functions and worked with GSK for four decades and nurtured the employees with his rich knowledge across functions.

He has over forty years of experience in Engineering, Chemical, Pharma and Consumer Goods industry in the core functional areas of Legal, Employee Relations, Management Development, Leadership Development and HR Management.

In the year 2006, he retired as Director - Human Resource of GSK.

He has been a Non-Executive Director of the Company, since his retirement.

Dwarakanath was also a member of GSK’s International HR team.

GSK was recognized as one of the top five Best Employers in India for people related practices for several years, during his tenure.

He has been vigorously involved in several professional bodies such as the Treasurer of All India Management Association (AIMA) and has a successful stretch as President of the National Human Resources Development Network and President of Delhi Management Association.

In his whole career, P Dwarakanath has won numerous prestigious awards for his enormous contribution in the field of Human Resources.
