HCCB (Hindustan Coca-Cola Beverages) Pvt Ltd, one of India’s largest FMCG companies, collaborated with LinkedIn to organize a career coaching session for 35 women from the community in Bidadi, Ramnagar. These women are undergoing training at the Career Development Centre (CDC) run by HCCB in Bidadi. The coaching and mentoring session was hosted at the LinkedIn’s corporate office in Bangalore. The program was also streamed LIVE on HCCB’s social media handles.

Senior executives of HCCB and LinkedIn India shared their personal experiences as part of the coaching session on various facets of the job interview, how to build self-confidence and ways to pave an enriching career path.

At the end of the session, each participant was assigned a mentor who helped them create profiles on LinkedIn for easy accessibility by potential employers. In keeping with the requirements of modern-day job searches, HCCB and LinkedIn associates also helped put together resumes highlighting the most searched skills of each individual.

HCCB has been at the forefront of upskilling thousands of young job seekers in India through various Career Development Centres (CDCs) that have been launched by the company. These centres are oriented towards imparting skills in Services, Retail, Manufacturing, and basic IT sectors to enable young women to become future-ready. The aim of these CDCs is to bring underprivileged candidates at par with those from reputed institutes in big cities and bridge the gap of learning and skill.

Indrajeet Sengupta, Executive Director and Chief Human Resources Officer, Hindustan Coca-Cola Beverages, said, “We are very excited to partner with LinkedIn India in our continuing effort to enable these women to develop requisite skill-sets, gain confidence and find their own path. We made a good beginning today and I am sure the partnership with LinkedIn India would help us make a meaningful difference in the lives of these women from our community.”

HCCB has piloted similar skill and career development programs in the past for rural youths in areas that it operates. The company believes in actively engaging communities to economically empower them by preparing them to become a readily employable workforce for different sectors.
