Eileen Naughton, Vice President of People Operations, Google is quitting from her role, said reports.

"We're grateful to Eileen for all she's done and look forward to her next chapter at Google," Sundar Pichai, the head of Google and its parent company said.

In recent years, the Google workplace has been disrupted by employee opposition to essential decisions ranging from forging contracts with the US military to tailoring a version of the search engine for China.

Naughton joined the company fourteen years back as Director. Before joining the company, she was working with Time as a Strategy & Finance Director.

Google added more than 70,000 employees during Naughton's time as head of human resources, according to Pichai. Naughton said that she would work with Pichai and Chief Financial Officer Ruth Porat to find a successor.

According to her statement, she has mentioned that she has decided to move to New York to be closer to her family.  Google is in the news for its employee relations from the last couple of years. The tech giant has witnessed a significant walkout of senior executives after the company has retaliated against them for reporting workplace issues.

The staff had also raised their voices against Google’s plans to work with the Defense department on some artificial intelligence-based technology, which the employees considered unethical.
