● Be your own coach and identify your key strengths: The first step to supercharge your career is to carry out an assessment of your values, motivations, goals, strengths and opportunities. After having identified these, women must leverage their strengths while taking a note of their opportunity areas and create an actionable plan in line with them. Knowing yourself well lays the foundation for further development and growth.

● Become A Mentor And A Mentee: Having women to look up to and being a woman who others look up to is key to succeeding in your career. Working under mentors across fields to learn various aspects of the industry will help you approach obstacles from different angles. Mentors will listen and help you reach your own solutions. A mentor offers you time to think, grow and offer you the courage to be your best version. When you can, volunteering to mentor others is also integral to your own growth, and an inspiration to other women.

● Network and create meaningful connections: Networking is all about creating meaningful dialogue and connections. It is important to build professional friendships throughout the span of your career. This can be done by openly sharing stories, learning from every new person you meet, and connecting on a personal level. Go the extra mile to build a strong connection, break down barriers and build inclusion.

● Speak up: It is critical to voice your opinion; embrace it in the journey of continuous development. Speaking up for yourself, for the women you’re working with when you respectfully agree or disagree with what is being said should be a continuous process. This will not only make others aware of your opinion but also prevent unfair and biased practices.

● Seek and share feedback from others: Feedback is essential for development as we all have blind spots. There are certain characteristics most individuals just overlook or can’t identify. Feedback is a constructive tool to help people understand others’ perceptions of them, and there is a significant power in the process.

It’s time to work on yourself and make sure it’s serving you in a meaningful way that delivers against your goals and priorities. Following these measures while being open to the observations of others by soliciting their feedback will supercharge your career.
