FedEx Express, a subsidiary of FedEx Corp. (NYSE: FDX), has been recognized as one of the top 20 best companies to work for in India by the Great Place to Work® Institute. This is the fourth consecutive year that FedEx has been ranked in the top 20 in the annual survey.
The survey by Great Place to Work® Institute is India’s largest annual study of workplace excellence, based on confidential employee feedback and an audit of management processes. FedEx Express was also ranked amongst India’s best places to work in the transportation industry.
"That FedEx Express has once again been recognized as one of India’s best workplaces, is a testament to our work culture, and the focus we place on our people. Our team members are at the heart of everything we do as a business, and their absolute support makes our company truly a ‘great place to work,” said Philip Cheng, vice president, Ground Operations India, FedEx Express.
“We believe that our people are our greatest asset, and in India, like FedEx around the world, we ensure that we provide our team members with a positive, rewarding work environment that nurtures their personal and professional growth. This announcement recognizes every team member at FedEx Express for their never-ending effort to go above-and-beyond to make every customer experience outstanding,” added Cheng.
The ‘People-Service-Profit’ (P-S-P) philosophy is the foundation on which FedEx operates, which simply states that when you take care of your people, they in turn deliver an outstanding experience to our customers, which in turn delivers profit to the business. This profit, is then reinvested back into the business and its people, which begins the cycle again.
The company’s robust people policy includes guaranteed fair treatment, diversity and equal opportunity policies. FedEx also has a program for individual development, which includes customized training and development and rewards. These efforts are among the key drivers of success for FedEx to maintain its reputation as a great place to work.
