Diversity And Inclusion: Saraf Furniture To Onboard 250 New Hire From LGBTQ+ Community

The company has announced its diversity and inclusion initiatives for FY 2021-22. The company is planning to hire about 200-250 professionals from the LGBTQ+ community.

Online furniture seller, Saraf Furniture has announced to hire over 250 professionals from the LGBTQ+ community in the current fiscal as part of efforts to promote gender equality at the workplace.

According to the release by the firm, a detailed plan is being made to constitute an expert committee for the smooth execution of the entire process.

"The top management is leaving no stone unturned to make the entire hiring process comfortable and hassle-free for eligible and deserving LGBTQ+ candidates," it said.

The company will select professionals from the LGBTQ+ community for jobs, including interior designers, after-sales support professionals, HR team members, chat support individuals, website developers, Search Engine Optimisation (SEO) experts, AutoCAD expert, digital marketing team members and supply chain managers.

With an aim to develop more and more mutual respect, awareness, and communication among the entire workforce Saraf Furniture has been running awareness and training-related programmes for lifestyle diversity for their existing employees.

The firm will also be constructing unisex washrooms. And to safeguard and protect the rights of the LGBTQ+ community a 'Welfare Committee' is also being formed by the company, as per the release.
