DBS Bank to Roll Out Voluntary Job-Sharing Scheme

The main objective of this program is to support employees in need of more flexible work arrangements and transform how its staff work in a post pandemic world.

Development Bank of Singapore limited (DBS) bank is planning to roll out a formal job-sharing scheme where employees will share the responsibilities of one full-time role. The main objective of this program is to support employees in need of more flexible work arrangements and transform how its staff work in a post pandemic world.

Staff will continue to enjoy the existing medical benefits and retain bank’s insurance coverage under this scheme. DBS also plans to introduce more pass time work arrangements.

Job sharing is a flexible work arrangement under which two or more people split responsibility for one full time job, according to the implementation guide by the Ministry of Manpower and Singapore National Employers Federation. The work and roles of the jobs can be divided by function, time, geography or workload and the arrangement requires a proper hand out of duties.
