Citi Bank To Hire 3.5 Percent From LGBTQ, Women And Blacks At Senior Positions

The Citibank Group is determined to work on its diversity and inclusion policies

To enhance inclusivity and diversity Citi Bank decided to provide 3.5 per cent of the total space in the workplace to LGBTQ, Women and Blacks. Earlier it was 2.1 per cent of the entire workplace occupied by these sections in the organisation. Citi group also aspire to give women the senior role line Managing Director (MD) and Assistant Vice President (AVP). 

The company has decided to increase women's representation in senior roles from 40 per cent to 43.5 per cent. In Brazil and the UK, Citigroup will try to hire college students from underrepresented communities to further improve its ethnic diversity.


As per their new diversity goals is concerned, Citigroup plans to stretch the number of Black employees in senior roles like MD and AVP in North America. Currently, 8.1 per cent of the senior employees are held by Blacks, now the organisation is determined to increase it by 11.5 per cent. The organisation will also focus to enhance the representation of Hispanic and Latino employees in senior ranks and aims to increase the percentage from 13.7 to 16.
