47 lakh jobs in 10 months: EPFO

EPFO data reveals the creation of 47 lakh jobs in the span of 10 months, from September 2017 to June 2018.

The finance information discharged by the Employees' Provident Fund Organization (EPFO) for September-May revealed that over 44.74 lakh new part was enlisted for its government managed savings plans to give benefits, including provident store, protection, and annuity.

From retirement fund body EPFO’s suggested that during September 2017 to June this year the total number of jobs were 47.13 Lakhs were created. Even though the number of retirement body was decreased by 12.38% from September 2017 to May 2018 from 44.7 lakh to 39.20 lakh respectively.

According to the payroll data released by the Employees' Provident Fund Organisation (EPFO) for September-May, as many as 44.74 lakh new member were enrolled for its social security schemes to provide benefits, including provident fund, insurance and pension. 

The data uploaded by EPFO today that the new member entry were the highest in June in recent 10 months at 7,93,308 and when it come to age wise brackets the maximum number to enter were of 2,53,466 and the age bracket was 18 to 21 years followed by 2,05,177 in 22 to 25 age group. 

In a statement by EPFO that the data is updated of employees is done after every subsequent month and also stated that the number may include temporary employees who may not continue for the entire year. 

EPFO has stated the practice of updating the payroll on its official site earlier this year.
