Department of Energy of Uttar Pradesh Power Corporation (UPPCL) has invited application for the post of junior engineer trainee under E&M cadre. About 212 vacancies exist of which 191 are junior engineer (trainee electrical) and 21 a junior engineer (trainee electronics).

The test will be computer based and will be conducted in early February. This post is eligible for a minimum salary of Rs 44900/- fitness centres will be in Lucknow, Varanasi, Kanpur, Gorakhpur, Ghaziabad, Bareilly, Noida, Meerut, and Greater Noida.

The test will be of 200 marks and will test diploma level engineering knowledge, general awareness, reasoning ability and knowledge of Hindi.

Candidates between the ages of 18 and 40 as of 1st January 2020 only will be able to apply. Those belonging to ST SC and OBC categories of Uttar Pradesh will be given 5 years of relaxation in upper age limit while persons with disabilities will be given 15 years of relaxation in upper age limit.

It is must for candidates to have a 3-year diploma in electrical engineering by Pravidhik Shiksha Parishad Uttar Pradesh or diploma recognised by the state government. all India diploma in electrical engineering conducted by AICTE or diploma in electrical engineering from any Indian University will also be considered.

Diploma in electronics and telecommunication engineering by Pravidhik Shiksha Parishad of Uttar Pradesh or diploma recognised by the state government is essential for the post of junior engineering (trainee electronics/ telecommunication) 3 year diploma from all India diploma in electrical engineering conducted by AICTE or diploma in electrical engineering from any Indian University will also be considered.

Candidates belonging to your general OBC will have to pay an application fee of Rs1000/-. SC ST candidates will have to pay Rs 700/-while those with disabilities need to pay only for processing charge of Rs 10/-. The candidates of other states will have to pay rupees 1,000 irrespective of categories.
