Mahindra group is all set to perform additional rupees 100 crores into its new plant in Zaheerabad in Telangana to double its workforce by 2024. The company is gearing up to manufacture K2 new models of tractors for which need additional employees.
The plant has a workforce of 1500 workers churning out more than 1 lakh tractors. Mahindra has collaborated with engineers of Mitsubishi Mahindra Agricultural Machinery of Japan and Mahindra Research Valley of India for this new lightweight tractor model.
K2 series with Mahindra group include products across compact, subcompact, small utility and large utility tractor categories covering 37 models. It will cater customers in India as well as in Japan, Southeast Asia and the US.
Zaheerabad plant was set up in 2012. ‘Yuvo’, ‘Jivo’ and ‘Plus Series’ tractors and manufacture in this plant.
Rice transplanter and tractor mounted combine harvesters are also produced in this plant in addition to farm equipment automatic division of this plant also manufacture arrange of cargo and passenger vehicles.
